Please keep in mind that these items are used collectively by the whole class. Teachers may also provide a class-specific list at Ice Cream Social or on the 1st day of school.

Student-owned classroom routines and structure create a safe space for learning. How can we bring the same sense of structure and safety to remote learning? Consider these four practices for developing empowered leadership routines for ourselves, students, and families. 

 

Wildly Important Goals aka WIGs

Event

Wildly Important Goals aka WIGs are goals that teachers and students have set for their classroom to become proficient in either ELA or Math for the school year. Here are each grade levels WIG and even our school wide WIG.

School wide WIG=90% of students will show academic growth in ELA and/or Math by May 31, 2020 as determined by grade level assessments.

Kindergarteners will be able to read 2400 High frequency words by June 1, 2020.

1st graders will read 124 high frequency words by May 31, 2020.

Pancake Breakfast
Saturday February 22nd 8AM-11AM

Event

Please come join us for our annual pancake breakfast here at Golden Empire Elementary. 

We will be serving pancakes, sausage, eggs, fruit, juice and coffee. Kids 2 and under get a free pancake. Gluten free pancakes also available. 

$4 pre-sale tickets after school the week of 2/18-2/21. 

$6 at the door 2/22.

BONUS!!! A special Disney raffle! Tickets will be sold at the breakfast for $10 each for a chance for your family to go to the “Happiest Place on Earth”!

Valentine Grams
February 4, 5, 6

Come by your valentine grams on February 4th and 5th during lunch or after school.

Also valentine grams will be sold on February 6th during lunch.

Your valentine gram will be delivered to your friends  in time for Valentines Day.
