Wildly Important Goals aka WIGs
Wildly Important Goals aka WIGs are goals that teachers and students have set for their classroom to become proficient in either ELA or Math for the school year. Here are each grade levels WIG and even our school wide WIG.
School wide WIG=90% of students will show academic growth in ELA and/or Math by May 31, 2020 as determined by grade level assessments.
Kindergarteners will be able to read 2400 High frequency words by June 1, 2020.
1st graders will read 124 high frequency words by May 31, 2020.
2nd graders will be able to read for a minimum of 20 minutes without distractions by May 31, 2020.
3rd graders will accurately score 90% or higher on 100 multiplication facts in 6 minutes by May 31, 2020.
4th graders will be able to complete a five minute timed 100-multiplication fact sheet.
5th graders will be able to obtain 80% accuracy for 100-multiplication facts in four minutes.
6th graders will score 70% or higher on all operations with fractions (adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing fractions).
Computers= Students in 3rd, 4th, 5th, and 6th grade will spend a minimum 45 minutes on iReady Reading every week and pass a minimum of one lesson. Students in grades Kinder, 1st, 2nd, will spend a minimum of 30 minutes per week on iReady Reading and pass a minimum of one lesson. All students 1-6 will spend 20 minutes per week on ixl diagnostic and obtain all stars by the end of the trimester. Students in grades 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th will complete a minimum of 5 lessons on typing lessons each week.
PE= Students will complete 100 minutes of physical activity every week (20 minutes per day)
STRIDE= Students will run/walk 111 miles per month to reach 1,112 miles by the end of the school year.
